The one thing that I have come to notice over the years is that brides who really seem to enjoy their weddings the most are the ones that freed themselves up from all the mundane time-consuming chores…like decorating the altar and reception site, by delegating these duties to others. So many times I’ve seen brides rushing about trying to do things like this less than an hour before the wedding, when they should have been either relaxing, getting themselves dressed for their wedding i Odense Denmark or getting their photos done.

They were running around like chickens with their heads cut off…how can you possibly enjoy your wedding day when you’ve put yourself under such last minute pressure? I’ll bet that a lot of these girls turned down offers of help from others for fear that they might be imposing on them. My advice, take up offers to help from anyone sincerely offering it, learn to delegate duties and make your special day really enjoyable and unstressed!

What’s the one thing you can do to really make your reception a blast and a success enjoyed by everyone? Make sure you hire a DJ that knows how to get everyone into the festivities of the evening and get them onto the dance floor and keep them there. The best I’ve seen make sure to work in the “chicken dance”, “Hokey Pokey”, “YMCA”, “the Locomotion…snake dance around the floor”, etc., and they do it in a rapid succession. By the time they are through with these, the guests are pumped and ready to party the rest of the night. What great picture opportunities these dances make, too…some of the best photos of the night of people really having fun!

By contrast, hire a lack-luster DJ and a lot of the time the reception never seems to get into gear. It just sort of lays there and dies a slow death. (No great photo opportunities here, either. What a shame!)

My advice: Be very selective in hiring your DJ, he will make or break your reception. Really quiz them about how they go about getting the evening into high-gear for the guests.
