What To Expect When You Are Having a Professional Photo Session
At My Photography (Wedding Photographers), we prefer to work with natural settings and natural lighting. Of course, that’s not always possible because, as you know, we do get a fair amount of rain in the Eugene/Springfield area. As a result, we also have an indoor studio that we use as a plan B in case of adverse weather. We have a green screen so we can place you into many different sceneries from our library, or just drape cloth for a backdro.
When you have a photo session with us, one of the things that is very important to remember is that this session is about you. We want to make the event special and uniquely you. For example, if you like horses, let us know. Perhaps we can go shoot with your horse. If you like medieval reenactments, or you like Comicon/Anime and have costumes, then we want to know about it. We want your photo shoot to be about you and what you love.
Remember, we want to customize the experience to be all about you. You are unique, so why should you photos show you in the same tired poses your grandparents had in their pictures?

Your photo shoot will be treasured for the rest of your life, so you’ll want to look your best. If that means a morning at the spa or a professional hair stylist and makeup artist, then please do. When you feel beautiful, your pictures will shine through.
We recommend you bring a couple of outfits. For a lady, a black top or a nice black dress works really well. Like this:

Black is slimming and timelessly chic. It works with most every backdrop without looking noisy or clashing.
For a man, we recommend a nice collared blue or white shirt. If he is clean shaven, we recommend that he shaves just before the shoot. Usually a nice pair of jeans or slacks works well.
If you have kids or a special pet, we recommend that you bring them along. We love including the other members of the family into the picture. Like this:
